By my standards it should fall $2-3 a gallon to be a fair price

San Diego County is one of those areas that always has gas prices running higher than everyone else. This drop is big news to the people living there.

canescommuter is right... if the price drops much more, people (read: fools) will go back to their SUV-gas-guzzler-buying ways and we'll be back in the same pickle again.

Instead of laws that require EXPENSIVE blends of gas, maybe California should make laws that require a certain percentage of alternative enrgy vehicles instead. That would help offset the pollution.

This isn't a tumble by any means. $3.something a gallon is still way too high and is (will continue to) killing our economy.

There is really no reason gas should be more than $2 a gallon, but I'm sure when it drops to a relatively cheap (In consumers eyes) $3.50 a gallon, we will start buying SUVs and gas guzzlers and continue to abandon alternative fuels. We get what we deserve.
